HBO Adria is seeking for Social Media Manager

Are you watching new Game of Thrones episodes at 3am just to avoid spoiler tweets ruining your fun? Does your ideal night in equals marathon of entire season of your favourite series? Are you famous for witty Facebook statuses which always provoke endless debates among your Facebook friends? Are you one of those who often reply to Facebook comments with GIFs (and somehow always seem to have the perfect one for each occasion), while your Instagram stories are popping up every few minutes? If your answer to most of these is yes, continue reading – we might have an ideal job for you!

Type of employment: freelance contract

This is an operative role with the main task of maintaining and elaborating communication of the HBO and HBO GO brands and original productions across multiple social platforms, building and cultivating a vibrant and engaged community in social space, driving sales and improving retention in the social media ecosystems and generating engagement and awareness of the content of HBO channels and services. The role also includes support and coordination of the Customer Service team.
Responsibilities and tasks:

Social Media

• As part of the HBO Europe social media team you will be Social Media Manager for the social media channels of HBO in Adria and Bulgaria region. (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• You will be working creatively with the content of the HBO brand to build awareness and engagement and drive sales and improve retention in social media channels.
• You will create and execute content marketing plans.
• You will create, manage, test and evaluate social media campaigns.
• You will be responsible for the daily interaction, engagement and community management with our fans, subscribers, target groups and influencers.
• You will measure, analyse and prepare reports on performance.
• You will be working closely with colleagues across the HBO Europe organization daily.

Customer Service

• You will manage the daily dialogue with our Customer Service team to make sure new and existing subscribers are provided with the best possible service in all areas.
• You will make sure the Customer Service team is well informed and educated on our product – but also you will make sure they are motivated and efficient.

Other responsibilities

• You will be the language expert in Serbian or Croatian translating and localizing marketing content.
• You will create and set up newsletters for different potential target groups.
• You will also be given a range of other projects and ad hoc tasks.
• You will be reporting to your Social Media Team Leader.

Requirements:

Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum a bachelor in Marketing, Communication, Media Arts or other similar field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in working with and coordinating activities for a social community (experience in coordination across Adria region is an advantage).
• High interest and general knowledge within the field of TV-series, movies and pop culture.
• Keeping up to date on new marketing technologies and social media trends and channels.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent communicator.

Personal qualities

• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly with a high degree of self-sufficiency.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, in Croatian or Serbian and English
• Knowledge of additional language from Adria and Bulgaria region is an advantage (Bulgarian, Croatian, Serbian, Slovenian)
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills essential, being able to easily learn and adapt to new information.
• Action oriented.
• Flexible mindset.
• Analytical mind.
• Ambitious and hard worker.
